The Lookouts fell to Huntsville, 4-3, in an 11-inning heartbreaker Friday night at AT&T Field.
Chattanooga squandered the game in a wild eleventh inning that saw a dramatic game decided by a bases-loaded walk. Lookouts reliever Geison Aquaviva (1-2) surrendered four straight walks and was ultimately saddled with the loss when the Lookouts couldn’t respond with the tying run in the bottom half of the inning.
The teams were tied 2-2 after the opening two innings, but then the bats went cold. Each added a run in the fifth.
Star reliever Jesus Sanchez (3-0) earned the win.
Pedro Baez notched an RBI triple for Chattanooga, while Travis Denker had a trio of hits.
The Lookouts and Stars will continue their five-game series at 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
