The Tennessee Titans placed wide receiver Kenny Britt on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from three knee operations since October.
The move is not a surprise after it was revealed last week that Britt had undergone a procedure on his left knee back in June. It simply means Britt did not pass his entrance physical. He can be taken off the list as soon as he is able to pass his physical.
Britt underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL last October on his right knee and had a clean-up procedure in May to take care of swelling in the area.
Britt has more issues than just his health as his DUI arrest last week in Fort Campbell, Ky., could lead NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend him for a portion of the regular season.
Safety Markelle Martin was also placed on the PUP list after having his knee scoped. The rookie sixth-round pick also did not pass his physical.
Meanwhile, the Titans still have not signed first-round pick Kendall Wright, as the sides haggle over guaranteed money in the final year of the contract and offset language the Titans want inserted into the deal.
