Officials with the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the appointment of two new leaders Wednesday.

Ed Dolliver, who was selected as the new vice president of sales, will now be in charge of cultivating and expanding the CVB's client base to increase the number of meetings and conventions held in Chattanooga.

“Ed brings more than 36 years of sales expertise in the hospitality industry,” Bob Doak, president and CEO of the CVB, said. “We're excited to have someone with his credentials and proven track record join our team. We spent more than six months searching locally and nationally for the right person for this job, and when we found Ed, we knew that he was the right fit.”

The CVB also welcomed Tim Morgan as the new president of the greater Chattanooga Sports and Events Committee, where he will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the sports committee's partners in order to drive successful bookings of sporting events to Hamilton County.

“I'm really looking forward to jumping right in and being a part of such a professional team,” Morgan said. “Chattanooga is well-known throughout the industry for providing outstanding professional service and hosting top-notch events. This city has an incredible product—from the mild year-round weather to the mix of facilities to the diverse attractions and events for families when they are not competing.”

A reception welcoming both Dolliver and Morgan, as well as Dave Santucci as the vice president of marketing, will be held Aug. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center.
