Memphis-based firm Destination King announced a merger with locally based Quiddity Entertainment and the subsequent formation of an events management group, LEO, which will replace both of the former, separate groups.

Destination King, a destination management company founded in 2002 by Cindy and Kevin Brewer, coordinates everything from international conventions to award ceremonies and groundbreakings. Their new venture with Quiddity Entertainment will have offices located in Chattanooga, Memphis and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“Destination King has worked with Quiddity for years, and we're all thrilled to launch LEO,” Kevin Brewer said. “As part of our long-term plan, Cindy and I wanted to offer an additional level of service to our clients ... LEO is able to do that.”

Although regionally based, the Brewers said LEO will be able to handle events in any market and around the globe.

“LEO allows us to play on a different field,” said Kent Underwood, who formed Quiddity Entertainment and is now the principal of LEO's live experiences division. “Our respective backgrounds and work experience are varied yet complementary, and we’re looking forward to what the future holds.”

Currently, LEO employs 14 full-time employees and 25 part-time employees across three locations. The business partners said they have future plans to expand into other markets.

Among some of the first events LEO will manage is the Elvis Week 35th anniversary, done on behalf of Elvis Presley Enterprises.
