A new generation can experience the timelessness of "Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood" in a new PBS show titled “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood," and Creative Discovery Museum guests will have the opportunity to celebrate this show Aug. 25 from noon to 4 p.m.
"Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood" will use animated characters from "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" to teach the same gentle and simplistic lessons of Mr. Fred Rogers. Aired locally on WTCI, "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood" presents developmentally appropriate content that addresses the social and emotional needs of preschoolers.
On Aug. 25, Creative Discovery Museum will welcome WTCI and "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood" to the museum to celebrate this new and exciting show.
At 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., guests can preview the show in the Creative Discovery Museum Auditorium. Previews will last approximately 20 minutes.
“A cornerstone of academic success in school is a child’s well-being and social emotional adjustment. Fred Rogers understood this need for preschoolers and used it as the basis for his successful television show,” said Dr. Jayne Griffin, director of education for Creative Discovery Museum. “Creative Discovery Museum is delighted to partner with WTCI to preview 'Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.'”
Admission to "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" events is free with paid museum admission.
