Crabtree Farms will host the 10th annual fall plant sale and festival early next month, featuring vegetables, perennial herbs, and fruiting bushes and trees for the fall season.
The festival, which takes place Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is family-friendly and free to the public. Parking for the event is also free.
“The fall plant sale and festival encourages Chattanoogans to support and grow local food while increasing their self–sufficiency and access to fresh produce,” Melanie Mayo, director of education and outreach at Crabtree Farms, said.
The event will also host several gardening talks for those interested in learning more about fall plants, such as Growing an Herbal Pharmacy at 10:30 a.m. and The Basics of Composting at 11:30 a.m. A question-and-answer session will also take place at 1 p.m.
