Pop crooners Hall & Oates will be bringing their Do What You Want, Be Who You Are tour to Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga on Dec. 10.
The rock and soul duo of Daryl Hall and John Oates is best-known for chart-topping hits during the 1970s and 1980s.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of their first album, "Whole Oats." Since 1972, their songs have been at the top of the charts, including six No 1s on the Billboard 100: "Rich Girl," "Kiss on My List," "Private Eyes," "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)," "Maneater" and "Out of Touch."
With many more singles charting in the top 40, plus seven platinum and six gold albums, Billboard named them the "most successful duo of the rock era," surpassing the Everly Brothers.
Since 2007, Hall has been the host of the award-winning Web TV series, “Live From Daryl's House,” featuring live performances with Hall and a diverse rotation of well-known and emerging musicians.
Ticket prices range from $47 to $77 and go on sale Friday, Aug. 24 at the auditorium box office, online and by calling 423-642-TIXS.
