Who can resist a decadent piece of milk chocolate?
Creative Discovery Museum will present its first ever-Chocolate Festival, an event that will celebrate chocolate’s history, lore, science and appeal, on Saturday, Sept. 8 from noon to 4 p.m.
The Hot Chocolatier, Chattanooga’s local artisan chocolate shop, will demonstrate chocolate recipes and cooking lessons.
Children and families will be able to see a baby cocoa tree up close. They will also discover the unique process of chocolate as they learn about the history of this sweet snack. Samples will be available for guests, including delights made from confections and chocolate. Children will also be able to participate in art and science activities using various materials, including chocolate, officials said.
“Chocolate is a universal joy for children and adults,” said Liza Blair, arts manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “This event is a great way for guests to enjoy the lore and decadence of chocolate.”
Creative Discovery Museum’s Chocolate Festival is included with paid admission.
Reservations are not required.
