The Chattanooga basketball program received its first verbal commitment of the 2013 class in T.J. Williams last week.
Williams, a 6-7, 225-pound power forward from Wilmington, N.C., is a two-start recruit on ESPN.com with a scout grade of 60.
“At first glance, you wonder how a guy of average size for his position can accomplish what he’s able to do in the lane,” said one ESPN analyst. “Then his Inspecter Gadget arms unfurl and the frenzy of rejections begins.”
Williams received a three-star ranking from Scout.com.
Williams, who plays for Eugene Ashley High School, was chosen to the All-Area second team as a junior last season.
