Passmore receives Southern Conference award

Chattanooga’s Paula Passmore has been selected as the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week following the senior’s showing at the Country Inns & Suites Invitational over the weekend. 

Passmore wracked up 77 digs in UTC’s victories over Alcorn State, USC Upstate and Tennessee Tech, including a personal-best 41 against the Golden Eagles. 

She was also named to the Country Inns & Suites Invitational All-Tournament team. 

The Mocs (3-0) return to action Friday in Clemson, S.C. at the Clemson Classic, where they’ll take on East Tennessee State at 4 p.m. UTC will play two matches Saturday against Clemson (10:30 a.m.) and Charlotte (6 p.m.)
