BOONE, N.C. — Chattanooga’s volleyball team captured a 3-1 victory over Appalachian State in its regular-season finale on Saturday night.
The Mocs finished the season at 8-8 in Southern Conference play, avoiding a losing record in conference play for the first time in four years.
Freshman Sarah Batterton accounted for nearly an entire set’s points, totaling 22.5 poins and 20 kills. She also tallied five blocks.
Freshman Briana Reid finished with 13 kills while seniors Christina Teter and Heather Parman racked up 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Junior Bridget Comacho recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 56 assists and 10 digs.
Teter and sophomore Kasey Talley each blocked three Appalachian State attacks, and senior Paula Passmore led the Mocs with 29 digs.
Chattanooga will compete in the Southern Conference tournament next weekend in Davidson, N.C.
