This week, leaders with the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission approved a controversial Hixson development, and since then, developers continued to answer questions and meet with the public about the project.

The project has a Facebook page, where leaders with the project answered questions Fridayafter a community meeting on Tuesday.

The $100 million project nearHighway 153-Boy Scout Road has drawn criticism from some area residents and members of theNorth Chickamauga Creek Conservancy, who are worried aboutstormwater runoff, the damage to the environment and traffic flow issues.

But project leaders said they have been taking steps toaccommodate citizens’ concerns.
