Wondering what to do tonight? No need to check your planner—we’ve got your daily post on what’s happening around town.
Woman to woman, dress to dress
In every woman’s closet, there is that one dress—okay, maybe five dresses—that are too precious to part with. Be it a retro throwback from high school or college, the one beautiful bridesmaid dress in the world or a prom dress, the chance to wear it again always seem just around the corner. The Moth Ball, held at Stratton Hall tonight, is just such an occasion.
After last year’s event, founders Terri Holley and Alison Lebovitz were able to present the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga a check for $20,000. Now in its second year, the Moth Ball will raise funds for the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults’ Family Violence Center. The price of admission includes hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, prizes, photos and dancing soundtracked by a DJ.
