KNOXVILLE – Five former Vols from the 2012 squad were invited to participate in the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine. The event was held in Indianapolis over the weekend and runs through Tuesday.

The invitation-only event hosts just over 300 draft-eligible participates each year for a series of interviews, medical tests and workouts that help NFL scouts gauge the prospects.

Wide receivers Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson joined quarterback Tyler Bray, tight end Mychal Rivera and offensive lineman Dallas Thomas at the event this year. Thomas is unable to participate after tearing his labrum during Senior Bowl practices in January.

Hunter, Patterson, Bray and Rivera were all tested over the weekend with their respective position group. Players can opt to not participate (DNP) in any event for any reason. These participants, along with any other UT draft hopefuls, will have another chance to boost their pro stock on March 20 when Tennessee hosts its own Pro Day in Knoxville for NFL scouts.
