Tickets on sale for Kidney Foundation fundraiser, Taste
Tickets are now on sale for Taste, a fundraising food event benefitting the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area.
The event will be at Stratton Hall on March 7 from 5 to 9 p.m.
With a $35 advanced ticket ($40 at the door), guests get unlimited sampling from more than 20 locally owned and operated restaurants, plus one drink ticket to be used for beer, wine or other nonalcoholic beverage.
Liquor will be available at a cash bar.
This year, for the first time, guests will also have the option of reserving a full table for seating and socializing with their friends or their company colleagues through the Taste website.
The event will also feature a chef competition, which will be from 7 to 8 p.m. and will include Chattanooga chefs competing to create a gourmet dish using one secret ingredient provided by Whole Foods Market.
The winning chef will be selected by a panel of judges to receive a prize at the end of the evening.
Taste consists of a variety of local flavors ranging from the familiar, such as Southern Burger Company or Petunia’s Silver Jalapeno, to the elegant, such as St. John’s Meeting Place, or the Mexican flavors of Ovalle’s Mexican Café, among others.
There will also be live music from local musicians, such as alternative songwriting duo Woodford Sessions and local funk/soul band Function.
Couture clothing will also be a feature of Taste, with models wearing fashions provided by some of Chattanooga’s local boutiques.
Visit www.tastechatt.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
