The Hunter Museum of American Art launches a new speaker series tonight, providing one more avenue through which veteran art appreciators and newbies can connect with artists. Glass artist Paul Stankard-a man of international reputation whose exhibit Beauty Beyond Natureis currently at the Hunter-draws inspiration from Walt Whitman’s iconic verses and translates the works into a collection of paperweights; botanicals; cubes and columns; orbs; diptychs and triptychs; and assemblages.
