Two relatively new Chattanooga businesses are joining forces.

Mobile oil change businessChange-N-Go and auto cleaning business Chattanooga Detail are partnering to offer clients more combinations of services.

“We are two energetic businesses,” owner ofChange-N-Go James Chapman said. “We had good energy and good vibes, and we both have a good base of customers. It’s about offering as many services to clients as possible and trying to be a one-stop shop.”

Through Change-N-Go, Chapman and his business partner, Jeremy Sharp, offer mobile oil change services. They come to the consumer and provide an oil change using their mobile van.

The process takes about 20 or 25 minutes and can be done in most parking lots, Chapman said.

Graduates of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga David Hopkins and his former business partner, Beau Gilliland, openedChattanooga Detail in the summer of 2012.Matt Browder has recently joined the team as Hopkins’ new business partner.

Their business uses steam-cleaning technology, which takes less water and fewer chemicals than traditional methods. Theyoffer a range of services from an exterior hand wash to a full detail.

But now, customers can either go to Chattanooga Detail’s new location, which isnext to Nikki’s Diner at 895 Cherokee Blvd., to get any combination of cleaning, detailing and oil change services.

Or they have the option of having a team member come get the car, perform the cleaning and maintenance, and bring it back.

Chapman is also still going out to businesses with his services, he said.

The idea to partner came from customers, Chapman said.

“Once we talked about it, we said, ‘Let’s just make it happen,'” Chapman said. “We thought it’d be a good fit.”
