A Collegedale version of the Chattanooga Market will officially open this spring with Wednesday and Saturday markets through the summer.
Collegedale Market will be held on the future site of Collegedale Commons, an 8-acre tract of land that will include green space, a 15,000-square-foot event barn, conference areas and open-air structures.
The opening day will be May 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. Attendance is always free, and guests will experience offerings from local farms, artisans and food trucks.
According to a release from market officials, at least 25 vendors are expected to attend each market. Construction is set to begin later in 2016 on the commons, but large tents will provide cover for the market and access to restroom facilities in the meantime.
Potential vendors are encouraged to apply to be a part of the opening season. Farmers, artists and food artisans are sought. Click here for more information.
