Have you ever wanted to hug a bunny? Of course you have!

The Chattanooga Zoo will once again celebrate the arrival of spring with their annual Hug-a-Bunny Day on March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The all-day event offers plenty of springtime activities and up-close bunny and animal encounters in a section called the "bunny zone."

Most activities are included with regular zoo admission. Unlimited access wristbands for the bunny zone are an additional $5, and photos with the Easter Bunny will also be offered for $7. Carousel, train and camel rides will also be offered for an additional cost.

The bunny zone features a bounce house, games, crafts, face painting and education stations. Plus, guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of bunnies.

Other activities included in admission will be a scavenger hunt, animal enrichment activities, photos with costumed characters, keeper chats and more.

"Hug-a-Bunny Day is always such a fun springtime event for zoo staff and guests," said Darde Long, zoo president and CEO. "Every year, this event continues to grow, and we are so excited to expand upon our traditional Hug-a-Bunny Day happenings to offer more activities than ever before."
