River City Co.and Lululemon Athletica have teamed up to offer a new monthly workout series in Miller Plaza beginning this month.

City Sweat, the new program,will offer free yoga for all at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The “beginner-friendly” exercise series will take place every month through July on the second Thursdays.

And it’s not just yoga. Organizers will offer a variety of exercises throughout the program, including biking and a mini-triathlon adventure.

“The goal of City Sweat is to challenge yourself physically and enjoy City Center with diverse classes offered throughout the coming months,” said Amy Donahue, marketing and communication manager at River City Co. “We are thrilled to be partnering with fitness experts Lululemon Athletica and their ambassadors to bring exercise options to the community to try for free.”

Thursday’s program is a yoga-for-all event with Kelsey Vasileff of Southern Sqweeze. The program is open for all levels, with “an emphasis on finding your healthiest and best self for spring.” Guests should bring their own mats.

On May 12, Lee Carmichael and friends will offer tips on the urban and trail riding lifestyle. Guests can bring their own bikes or rent a bike from Bike Chattanooga. The group will meet in Miller Plaza and ride to the river and back.
