Everyone is welcome at the table.

Causeway will once again host the annual citywide Thanksgiving potluck Nov. 21.

One Table was created as a way for Chattanoogans to come together and share a meal at a single table.

During the event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Martin Luther King Boulevard between Miller Plaza and Miller Park will be closed.

The concept of One Table is simple: “no fee, no expectation and no agenda … just an open invitation to get to know your neighbors a little better and give thanks for this city of ours, together,” according to a Causeway release.

As always, the Thanksgiving staples will be provided by area restaurants. However, the event is still a potluck, so residents are encouraged to bring a covered dish to serve. Guests can also offer monetary donations to help offset the cost of the meal.

This year, organizers said the actual table will be much larger than in years past. In addition, live music will be provided by buskers, and transportation will be provided by neighborhood churches and downtown employers to get folks to the City Center for the event.

Last year, community members donated more than $13,000 to the event ahead of time. Click here to view photos of the 2015 event.
