Cleveland’s Bonlife Coffee is in the running for the Indie Award from Independent We Stand, which is a movement of business owners who emphasize buying local.

“This year’s quarterfinalists represent a variety of independent businesses across the country who are making an impact on their local economies,” Bill Brunelle, co-founder of Independent We Stand, said in a prepared statement. “This award is our way of recognizing their outstanding efforts in their respective communities.”

Voting is underway through Dec. 11. Voters can visit this website and cast one vote each day.

Bonlife Coffee has been roasting and serving sustainably sourced coffees in Cleveland since 2012. The business aims to shorten the distance from farmer to consumer through sustainable sourcing and artisan roasting.

Bonlife also offers small-batch baked goods and gift items in both retail and online stores, and provides coffee to other retailers through a wholesale program.

“We’ve always been proud to be locally owned and staffed with a great team, and this nomination [is] proof that people are taking notice, even outside of Bradley County,” owner Erika Moore said in a prepared statement.
