Girls Preparatory School’s Mad, Bad and Dangerous is returning, and area residents can get involved in the event.

This year’s event is called MBD: Girl Edition, and it’s specifically designed for girls ages 8-18.

The event encourages girls to follow their entrepreneurial dreams and aims to create the next generation of successful business and social entrepreneurs.

“At GPS, we not only understand girls, we believe in their biggest dreams,” GPS Head Dr. Autumn Adkins Graves said in a prepared statement. “MBD is our signature community event to inspire and support entrepreneurial girls.”

GPS has once again partnered with the Public Education Foundation of Chattanooga and Co.Lab to produce this event.

MBD is slated for March 11 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at GPS’ campus, 205 Island Ave.

It’s free and open to the community.

The first MBD event was in 2015 and encouraged girls to “ditch expectations” and establish a voice.

The entrepreneurial summit returned last year and included keynote speaker Lori Greiner from ABC’s entrepreneurial reality show “Shark Tank.”

Last year, officials also announced they were expanding MBD to Knoxville.
