The Salvation Army of Chattanooga’s food pantry is extremely low, and officials are having difficulty compiling food boxes for families.
“We have odds and ends, cans here or there, but barely enough to put together three full meals in a food box,” Sandy Leavell, director of social services, said. “We desperately need the community to donate food.”
Donations can be made at 822 McCallie Ave. or 2140 E. 28th St. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
