The annual Chattanooga Cruise In is on the horizon, and it's expected to bring in thousands of car enthusiasts from around the Southeast.

The event will take place April 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., when thousands of cars will be parked near the Coker Tire headquarters at 1317 Chestnut St.

In an effort to accommodate even more visitors this year, organizers have rented out First Tennessee Pavilion, which is within walking distance of the headquarters, to include a swap meet in conjunction with the cruise in.

The swap meet will take place at the same time as the cruise in and will include several local food vendors.

The event is free to the public and is expected to have more than 2,000 customized cars, trucks and motorcycles for viewing.

Guests can also tour the Coker Tire Museum free on the day of the event. The museum features vintage cars, memorabilia and information about the history of Coker.
