By combining outdoor activities and brews, Lula Lake Land Trust officials are hosting what might be the quintessential Chattanooga event.
Hike, Bike & Brew is April 22 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the property. Tickets are $35 through April 14 or $45 the week of the event. Only 225 tickets are available.

Guests will have the opportunity to try beers from Chattanooga breweries and select homebrewers. Each brewery will be at a different station along the various hiking trails on the property.
Participating breweries include Hutton & Smith Brewing Co., Chattanooga Brewing Co., Moccasin Bend Brewing Co., Big River and OddStory Brewing Co. Each brewery will be competing for votes from attendees on their favorite brew. Winners will receive a campout package at Lula Lake.
"Last fall, we hosted a wine walk, so this would be an expansion of that," said Kat Volzer, director of development and communication at Lula Lake. "It's a great way for people to explore our trails—if they haven't yet—and we encourage people to bring their own mountain bikes to get around faster."
Volzer said a majority of the beer stations will be easily accessible along the main gravel road at the property, although some exclusive stations will be situated at the end of certain trails.
Additional homebrewers are wanted to participate in the event. Click here if interested.
All proceeds will go toward basic operations, maintenance of trails and general upkeep of Lula Lake.
The Lula Lake Land Trust, established in 1994, "seeks to protect and preserve the natural beauty and abundant resources within the Rock Creek watershed for the benefit of present and future generations by fostering education, research and conservation stewardship of the land."
