The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors is kicking off the spring and summer homebuying season with its annual Open House WeekendApril 22-23.

During the two-day event, hundreds of homes in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia will be open to preview, according to a news release.

“Open House Weekend is a prime opportunity for those interested in buying a home to find the best option that meets their needs,” GCAR President Mark Hite said in a prepared statement.“Our knowledgeable Realtors are there to help guide potential homebuyers through this process and welcome the public to tour high-quality homes across our region.”

Officially registered homes will be marked with blue and white balloons featuring the GCAR logo.

“Open House Weekend is also a great opportunity for those interested in selling their home and entering the market,” Hite said. “Now is a prime time to consider selling, with inventory low.”

During the weekend, consumers will have the chance to win one of five $150 Visa cards by filling out an entry form provided by Realtors at the open houses. The winners will be announced TuesdayviaFacebookandTwitter.
