Ten local singers will compete in the first-ever Scenic City Sing-Off competition.
During the contest, a benefit for the Chattanooga Girls Choir, the chosen finalists will perform onstage in a “The Voice”-style elimination event before a panel of judges and an audience. Only one champion will be crowned.
Singers will perform at The Church on Main May 4 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The general public is encouraged to attend the event.
Tickets are $35 per person. The price includes hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine.

The audience will have the chance to cast a vote by offering monetary donations after each finalist’s performance. The contestant with the most money raised will win.
The overall winner of the competition will receive a $1,000 cash prize. Judges will determine the winner based on singing ability, appearance/stage presence and overall assessment.

The first nine finalists were chosen by a panel of judges. The 10th finalist was chosen by receiving the most likes on their YouTube video .
All proceeds will benefit Chattanooga Girls Choir. Founded in 1987, CGR “offers vocal music education and performance opportunities to talented young women in the Chattanooga area.”
