As vacation season comes to an end, local organizers are hoping you can squeeze one more adventure into your calendar.
The inaugural Museum Hop encourages locals to explore six Chattanooga-area museums for one price Aug. 25.
The hop will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can purchase a “passport” for $10 to access the museums.
Participating museums are Houston Museum of Decorative Arts, Songbirds Guitar Museum, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Bessie Smith Cultural Center, Charles H. Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center and the 6th Cavalry Museum.
Passports can be purchased here. They can also be purchased by phone at 423-894-8028.
Guests can pick up passports at the first museum they visit. From there, passports will be stamped at each stop. You’ll receive a commemorative T-shirt if you visit all six museums.
