The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office hosted a media training day Thursday in an effort to provide insight into SWAT responses.
“It is important for us as an agency to offer realistic and relevant information to our citizens as to how real-life SWAT operators function versus what is portrayed in television shows and movies,” HCSO spokesman Matt Lea said in a prepared statement.

Sheriff Jim Hammond spoke with the media to provide additional insight into what SWAT teams do and how often they are needed. Click here to read more from NewsChannel 9.
