Italian restaurant Il Primo’s second location is slated to open in Ooltewah’s Cambridge Square Oct. 20 from 5 to 10 p.m.
The new location is at the corner of Cambridge Square, which is located on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, in a building designed by Michael McGowan of River Street Architecture.
The design is meant to be classic and timeless, with several elements that pay homage to the Bottega Favorita building in Birmingham, Alabama, where owner and restaurateur Nathan Lindley spent his formative restaurant years, according to a news release.
The restaurant seats 110 guests inside and has additional patio seating for 36. There’s also a bocce court.
The new location will be led by the same people who created the original, including Lindley, managing partner Josh Nason and chef Oscar Ixcoit.
Chef Paul Rogers and general manager Dan Potter are also joining the team.
Rogers joined Il Primo in February from Charleston, South Carolina, and has been working to master the recipes and plate execution of the original location. Potter, a 20-year culinary veteran of the Chattanooga restaurant scene, aims to bring a familiar face and welcoming hospitality to the new culinary venture, according to the release.
Il Primo Cambridge will accept reservations for parties of up to 12 guests at one-third of its tables. The remaining tables will be kept for guests who choose to just walk in or call to be placed on the waitlist before arrival.
Guests may make reservations by calling the restaurant at 423-498-1300 between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m.
The new restaurant is located at 9432 Bradmore Lane.
With the latest addition, there are now more than 20 tenants, including Barn Door Boutique, Lupi’s Pizza Pies, Wine Down and Southern Burger Co., in the development.
