Legendary parody songwriter and performer Weird Al Yankovic will return to Chattanooga this spring.

Yankovic will perform at the Robert Kirk Walker Theatre April 13. Tickets will go on sale to the general public next Friday.

VIP packages and artist/venue presale tickets will also be available starting next week.

The show will feature a “scaled-down tour in smaller, more intimate theaters.” Yankovic said the performances will feature limited production—opposite from previous tours—and the set list will be composed almost entirely of his original (nonparody) songs.

Avant-garde comedian Emo Phillips will open the shows.

Billed as The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, Yankovic insists that “every show will be different.”

“We’re going deep into the catalog and mixing up the set list every night,” he wrote on Facebook. “This show will be loose, unpredictable and maybe a little sloppy. We’ll be making it up as we go along.”
