Chattanooga Whiskey will unveil their new riverfront distillery and event space to the general public this weekend. And, of course, they’re throwing a party.
Doors will open Saturday afternoon for an open house-style celebration featuring live music, distillery tours and a free whiskey cocktail (if you’re 21 or older). Kids and nondrinkers are admitted to the event for free, but imbibing guests must purchase a $10 ticket. Each ticket includes a whiskey cocktail.
The distillery is in the former Newton Chevrolet dealership at 890 Riverfront Parkway. Typically, the entire venue will not be open to the public, so the open house offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the production facility, barrel room and private event space.
From 2 to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy live music from Rye Baby and Caleb and the Gents, along with food from Lupi’s Pizza Pies, Taqueria Jalisco and Good Dog. Visitors can also print a commemorative T-shirt on-site.
The new building includes a macrodistillery and a 5,000-square-foot event space. Plenty of parking is available for the event.

Chattanooga Whiskey opened a microdistillery and tasting room called Tennessee Stillhouse in March 2015. The 5,000-square-foot Tennessee Stillhouse at 1439 Market St. will continue to serve as a development distillery and storefront.
