Currently, Graceland in Memphis is edging out the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for first place. The Tennessee Aquarium and Lookout Mountain are both in the top 10 as of this article.

Live rankings can be viewed here.

According to the introduction of the poll, a panel of Tennessee travel writers nominated their favorite state attractions. Writers were asked to choose places that highlight Tennessee’s rich music culture but also natural beauty and history.

The University of the South was also nominated. The picturesque campus is about an hour from downtown Chattanooga.

USA Today’s 10 Best seeks to provide users with “original, unbiased and experiential travel content of top attractions, things to see and do, and restaurants for top destinations in the U.S. and around the world.”
