Chattanooga residents will soon be able to have items from Target delivered to their doors through online grocery marketplace Shipt.

On Thursday, officials announced the multistate expansion, which is bringing the new service to Tennessee cities Memphis, Nashville and Chattanooga.

“Our partnership with Target will now allow for customers across the country to enjoy the benefits of shopping Target’s wide assortment with the personal touch of home delivery offered by Shipt,” founder and CEO Bill Smith said in a prepared statement.


Cumulatively, the new partnership gives more than 9.1 million households across the Southeast access to Target items, such as groceries and electronics, according to a news release.

To celebrate the addition of Target to the Shipt marketplace, new Shipt members who sign up before the expansion will receive an annual membership for $49. The regular cost is $99.

Shipt initially announced its launch in the Chattanooga marketplace in 2015, when it partnered with Publix.
