Cinematics: “Wilhemina’s War”
Several local nonprofits are teaming up to host a free public movie screening of “Wilhemina’s War” to commemorate National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The screening was organized by The ChatterySociety of WorkChattanooga CARES and the NAACP as part of the latest installment of Cinematics, a movie series meant to spark conversation through the art of film. “Wilhemina’s War” follows the story of Wilhemina Dixon, the daughter of uneducated sharecroppers, who finds herself fighting for her family’s survival against HIV and AIDS.
