For the second year, Chattanooga has the distinction of being one of the unhealthiest cities in the U.S., according to a national study.
WalletHub’s annual report compares more than 170 of the largest cities in the U.S. across 40 key metrics, ranging from the cost of a doctor visit to fruit and vegetable consumption.
Chattanooga ranked 160 of the 174 places analyzed.

Notably, Chattanooga ranked at the bottom of the category that looked at the number of mental health counselors per capita.
In 2017, Chattanooga ranked No. 132 on the list, with exceptionally low ranks in categories such as health care, food and green spaces.
