Travel company Expedia surveyed 1,000 Americans about their favorite small and mid-size towns and Chattanooga made the list.
“It’s very exciting to be chosen as one of the top 25 favorite American towns by Expedia,” Chattanooga Convention & Visitors Bureau CEO Barry White said in a prepared statement.
He added that USA Today, The New York Times and Lonely Planet have also recognized the Gig City recently.
Chattanooga came in No. 13 on Expedia’s list of 25 cities, including Cape Cod, Massachusetts and New Hope, Pennsylvania.
The Scenic City’s Tennessee Valley Railroad, Missionary Ridge Tunnel and The Hunter Museum of American Art got mentions in the Expedia write-up.
