Free Comedy: Dan Alten at JJ’s Bohemia
Comedian Dan Alten will perform as a part of a free showcase at JJ’s Bohemia tonight. Alten is the founder of LAFF Fest, an underground comedy label that has sold hundreds of CDs by unknown comedians. Alten has performed with Kyle Kinane, Sean Patton, rapper Open Mike Eagle, Kurt Braunholer, Myq Kaplan, underground TV icon David Leiber Hart, Stewart Huff, punk bands Boner City and Diaper Rash, Trae Crowder, Dave Waite, and “a guy who threw his father’s ashes into the crowd at an open mic.” The show is at 8:30 p.m.

DJ Passe at American Draft
When he’s not playing hits from the 1920s on guitar, Lon Eldridge spins nostalgic hits from the 1920s on a phonograph as DJ Passé. He’ll be spinning tunes at American Draft tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. American Draft is the new self-pour beer hall inside an old train car at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo. Music is free if you go drink beers.
