Nooga.com visited Paradise Garden in Summerville, Georgia on Saturday for the annual Finster Fest.
Howard Finster was a beloved outsider artist whose work is recognized nationally. His home-Paradise Garden-is a cultural museum and folk art mecca for fans of his work. It’s located about an hour from Chattanooga.
This weekend, the museum is hosting Finster Fest, an art and music festival featuring live music, food and fun for the entire family. The celebration this year offers a marketplace of more than 50 folk artists, a majority of them self-taught, food vendors and regional musical talent.
Admission is $5. The festival continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
