Tupac workshop
The poetry and music of late lyricist/rapper Tupac Shakur will be explored during a workshop tonight at the Association for Visual Arts. Velvet Poetry will lead the discussion and offer thoughts on the “connection between inspiration and creativity” through live painting and dance. Guests will write poems influenced by Tupac’s book “The Rose That Grew From Concrete.” Admission is by donation. Click here to register.

Songwriters in-the-round at Heritage House
Every second Tuesday of the month, select local songwriters are invited to perform at Heritage House Arts and Civic Center. Tonight’s songwriters are Heatherly, Derek Wayne Martin, Sophie Lockhart and Ben Strawn. The concert is at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for a mixer with the songwriters. Admission is free.
