As renovations to Miller Park continue, city officials are alerting the public of upcoming road closures and informational meetings about the project.

Officials are completely renovating MLK Boulevard between the park and Miller Plaza, according to an email, which will require a 100-day closure of the portion of MLK between Miller Park and Miller Plaza.

The city’s Department of Transportation has created a detour plan to minimize inconveniences to drivers and businesses.

There will be online maps and detour signs to help guide drivers.

The closure of MLK Boulevard between the plaza and park begins Nov. 13 and is expected to be complete by mid-February.

From mid-February to mid-March, Georgia Avenue between MLK Boulevard and Patten Parkway will be closed.

The project is slated to be complete by summer.
