The Chattanooga chapter of the League of Women Voters will be hosting an information session about how to complete voter registration online.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at The Public Library, located at 1001 Broad St. Light refreshments will be served.

Hamilton County Administrator of Elections Kerry Steelman will lead a roundtable discussion about online voter registration at the event.

Online voter registration became available to Tennessee citizens in September. Those planning to vote in the upcoming May 2018 county primaries must register by April 2.

“[Registering online] ensures applications are filled out correctly and completely, which saves voters time in the long run,” Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett said at the announcement of the online system at Roane State Community College.
