Two UTC employees are on paid administrative leave after being cited for public indecency.

Associate Vice Chancellor for Communication Chuck Cantrell and Veteran Student Services Coordinator Joe Wiram both received misdemeanor citations for public indecency, according to UTC’s student newspaper, The University Echo, which broke the story Sunday.

“We have been made aware of the situation with Mr. Cantrell and with Mr. Wiram,” UTC Vice Chancellor of Communication and Marketing George Heddleston said Sunday night. “The latest news is they will begin tomorrow on paid administrative leave. We are in the process of reviewing the situation. Since it’s a legal matter, the university will not have any more comment at this time.”

The citations came after last month’s undercover police investigation into acts at an adult movie theater, Cinema One, which is located at 4100 Rossville Blvd., according to multiple news outlets.

Another man, Scott Allen Jarrett, was also cited for public indecency.
