In a list compiled by SmartAsset, Chattanooga broke into the top 25 U.S. cities with the highest percentages of millennial homeownership.

According to the rankings, 28.05 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds in Chattanooga owned homes in 2016, putting the Gig City at No. 16 nationally.

SmartAsset looked at two factors: the 2016 millennial homeownership rate and the change between the millennial homeownership rate from 2007 to 2016.

Olathe, Kansas, landed in the No. 1 spot, with 50.43 percent homeownership rate among millennials.
