Lloyd’s new book “The Problim Children” follows the story of seven children named after the days of the week they were born. Each has their own special ability.

From the book’s description:

While their parents are away, their house suddenly blows up, leaving the seven siblings without a home. Until the oldest, Sundae, remembers their grandfather’s deed to his old mansion, gifted to her before he mysteriously disappeared. But now the children will have to deal with the rumors and loathing of their new neighbors, who strongly believe that wherever the Problims are,
trouble is surely to follow.

The event will feature activities inspired by the book and a chat with Lloyd.

Her first book,“A Snicker of Magic,” was a critically acclaimed success among children’s literature, even earning a place on the Obama family’s bookshelf in 2015. Lloyd’s second novel,“The Key to Extraordinary,” is a fantastical journey of magical realism as revealed through the eyes of young Emma, a middle school-aged hero who embarks on an “impossible” journey to find a hidden treasure.

Star Line Books is located at 1467 Market St.
