Chattanooga came in third on a travel expert community’s list of the top 10 travel destination in the United States.

Chattanooga came in behind Boise and Florida’s Space Coast.

For eight years now, Lonely Planet has asked its community of travel experts—in-house editors, researchers on the road and locals on the ground—to decide on the most compelling destinations to visit in the year ahead.

The Chattanooga mention highlights the city’s convenience to larger cities such as Nashville and Atlanta. It also touched on the prevalence of outdoor activities—specifically rock climbing and adventures on the Ocoee—as well as the growing tech and food scenes.

The Chattanooga Choo-Choo also got a mention, as did Songbirds Guitar Museum.
