Anyone interested in moving downtown, learning about urban living or seeing new developments can attend an upcoming tour of 14 apartment and condos next month.
“With over $1 billion dollars of private investment that’s occurred in downtown Chattanooga since 2015 and a majority of that development work going towards housing, we know there are a lot of people who want to explore and eventually live in these new or renovated downtown spaces,” River City Co. President Kim White said in a prepared statement.
River City Co.’s Downtown Living Tour is set for June 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. It’s free and open to the public and check-in will be at Miller Plaza, which is located at 850 Market St.
Officials are encouraging preregistration.
Gray Line Trolleys, which offers the Chattanooga Hop Trolley Tour, will be providing free trolley service along the tour loop for easy access to all the developments for the day’s event.
“As downtown Chattanooga’s advocate, River City is excited to organize this showcase of living options,” White also said. “Whether you want a studio on the Southside, a view of the river in Cameron Harbor or want the ultimate urban experience right in the heart of City Center, there’s a property for you on this tour.”
This new wave of private investment in Downtown Chattanooga includes 3,048 apartment units; 1,968 student beds; 1,075 hotel rooms; 272 condos and townhomes; and 993,100 square feet of commercial space.
