As Chattanooga’s rap and hip-hop scene continues to grow, three local female rappers have partnered with Flashlight Shows for a special May 18 showcase.

Rising rappers Floami Fly, Kemo and Different Diva will share the stage at Palace Theater on May 18 at 8 p.m. as a part of the Flashlight Shows series of concerts.

The show is 18-and-up and $10 in advance or at the door. Poet Erika Dionne Roberts will emcee the event.

As always with Flashlight Shows, a portion of proceeds benefit a nonprofit. Make Music Chattanooga is the featured nonprofit for the evening.

More information is here.

Floami Fly was recently highlighted in a music video with a group known as 7 Deadly Sins. The collective is made up of 7 “real emcees.” The group is currently working on setting up a tour to go along with the video. Watch the video below:

Flashlight Shows is a nonprofit music series whose aim is to “shine a light on” up-and-coming indie bands, to highlight various local charities and to help further the perception of Chattanooga as a sustainable concert destination.
