Ooltewah’s commercial, retail and residential development Cambridge Square is adding another tenant this summer.

United Community Bank will open a mortgage services office there in late May.

United Community Bank East Tennessee Region Manager Ryan Hulton said the team is thrilled to establish a presence at the development, which is located just east of Interstate 75’s Exit 11.

“At United Community Bank, we are focused on working closely with our customers to achieve their financial goals,” he also said in a prepared statement. “This convenient location will help us to not only do that but help contribute to the growth of an exciting community.”

Mortgage Loan Originator Brian Smoot will lead United Community’s Cambridge office under Hulton’s leadership, according to a news release.

Smoot and his team will provide full-service mortgage expertise for their clients including jumbo loans, specialized financing for medical professionals, construction to permanent loans and extended lock programs.

The development’s business growth has been steady, Marketing Director for the development Jim Cheney said recently.

Cambridge Square office, retail and restaurant tenants include Barn Door Boutique, Camp Big Fish, Ceniza, Chattanooga Imaging, Edward Jones, Heaven and Ale, Il Primo, Lupi’s Pizza Pies, Mixed Up Cup, Mojo Burrito and Shane’s Rib Shack.

“We are proud to announce United Community Bank’s decision to open an office in Cambridge Square,” Cheney said. “Now that our residential construction is in full-swing, we hope prospective homeowners will take advantage of their expertise and close proximity to our sales office.”

The entire development is about 130 acres, with the residential area taking up about 100 of that.
